Speaker labels and renaming
Turn on diarization when uploading, then rename speakers in the editor.
Enable speaker labels
1. Open the upload modal. 2. Check Speaker labels before transcribing. 3. We assign Speaker 1, Speaker 2, etc. based on diarization.
Rename speakers
1. Open a saved transcript in the editor. 2. Click a speaker pill to rename (e.g. "Host", "Guest"). 3. Names apply across segments for that speaker id.
Tips
- Two-person interviews work best; crowded rooms may merge speakers.
- On Pro, use Fix speakers tools to merge adjacent segments when diarization splits one person.
